I currently work out of my home studio (on the lookout for a warehouse or other large space where a group of artists might start something new…who do you know?). I’m happy to have you over to see any of my works. Give me a shout.

Making art is fun. It brings my emotions to the surface. I hope my art does the same for you...whether you enjoy it on the site, or choose to add it to your personal gallery at home.

My art, which I call Sensory Re-Load, is inspired by the senses of a lifetime. The further I dive into each piece, the more I realize that it is indeed a “reload” of so many emotions and senses evoked by my endless exposure to the world’s patterns, shapes, colors, smells, plants, animals, textures, sounds, and mass of humanity.

I’ve been fortunate to explore much of our planet. As a youth, I lived a unusually nomadic life, rotating between the rainy, desperately-green landscapes of coastal British Columbia, the granite greys and quilted farmland near Italy’s Dolomite mountains, and the endless kaleidoscope of multi-cultural Montreal. As an adult, I’ve traveled widely through the world’s great cities, and have lived in vibrant Vancouver, exotic Hawaii, the intense Coachella Valley desert, and now spectacular San Diego, California.

I work entirely freehand, letting the feelings of life flow through my brushes and tools to create my work. My acrylics usually require multiple layers of paint to achieve the organic depth I like, and my oil work tends to be thick and deep, coaxing the pigments to play with light’s many angles. In addition to the paints, a variety of pencils find their way onto the canvas, alongside techniques of scraping, scratching, dripping, and occasionally even a spot of spray paint. It’s my work, and I do it my way. I am self-taught, although endlessly inspired by many great artists.
